At the 81st session of the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights (ACHPR) and the NGO Forum, we focused on amplifying the challenges faced by Human Rights Defenders (HRDs) across Africa. Our interventions during this session were aimed at raising the profile of these critical issues, advocating for stronger protections, and ensuring that HRDs’ voices were heard by key decision-makers. From every corner of the continent, HRDs continue to stand on the frontlines of defending human rights, and we remain committed to fostering a safer environment for their work.
